We were informed at our Fairfax Historical Society Meeting this past Sunday Afternoon that we have some very serious problems causing mold in the Musuem building.  The building was given to the Historical Society by Lucien & Carol Hayes - It was placed on a poured cellar, which is very wet.  I am not sure what the solution would be, however, I do know that it stood for many years across the road and was not over a cellar and they had no problems there.  The cellar has never been used due to this moisture problem - If it was up to me, I would fill in the cellar and place some venting windows just below the floor, however, before any more money is spent (which we have none by the way) we should get some expert advice on what to do.

As it stands now, the museum will not be open until the situation is corrected.
