We had a second loss of power around 6:30 - Someone from Goosepond Road said one of the big tarps used in the Riverberry Fields blew up over the power lines.  Power came back on aroun 8 p.m. - I don't know whether this is true or not or just hearsay or a joke.

Hi All,

I contacted Jane Sorenson, because his story sounded so weird I could not really believe it.  Jane send me back the following note and I really appreciate her spending the time to do that for us.  Here is actually what happened regarding the power outage yesterday:

"Hi Henry,

Yes, a weird microburst sent a piece of remay, agricultural fabric, up and over the VELCO uninsulated line.  This happened around 3:00 p.m. , yesterday.  The power company advised us to abandon the field until they were able to cut power and remove the fabric, saying it was highly dangerous.  They must have cut the power at 6:30 to access the fabric.  We have never seen such a weird wind; a bit like a tiny tornado which whipped the fabric high up in the air and perfectly across two lines of the high-tension power lines.  Our apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this freakish accident.

Thanks for all you do to keep the town informed!!
