LIANA "LANI" DELIDUKA

BARRE/ BURLINGTON - Liana "Lani" Deliduka gracefully made her exit on Nov. 2, 2012, after several years of defiantly battling cancer. Born Dec. 4, 1957, to Robert L. Fisher Sr. and Gladys Santos, Lani spent the majority of her life in the Green Mountains of Vermont, often capturing the New England beauty through the lens of her camera. In addition to her service in the Air National Guard, Lani's proudest accomplishments were her three children for whom she lived and fought every single day. Lani married the love of her life and unrelenting caregiver, Bennet Deliduka, on Feb. 29, 2004, and showcased her beautiful voice by serenading Ben with "Amazed by You" in front of their guests. Lani and Ben made their home with special canine companions, "Ku'u" and "Alaska," in Barre. As an employee of the State of Vermont, Department of Buildings and General Services, Lani finally conceded to retirement on Nov. 1, 2012. In addition to her husband, Lani is survived by her loving sons, Sean and Ryan, and daughter, Erin Parizo, and their special friends, Autumn, Chris and Joanna. She is also survived by her father, Robert Fisher Sr. and wife, Jane; brothers, Robert Fisher Jr. and wife, Donna, Roger Fisher and wife, Melissa, and Dale Fisher and wife, Lauri; and sister, Edwina Johnson. She is also survived by the loving Deliduka family, Linda Deliduka, Barry Deliduka and his partner, Dinny Carreiro, Stuart Deliduka and his friend, Diem Cao, Steven Deliduka and wife, Bethanee Schlosser, and Sharon Deliduka. Lani was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and always seemed to have a handle to be able to name them all at the yearly Fisher Family summer reunion. Lani was predeceased by her mother, Gladys. The family would like to thank the Drs. and nurses at Mountainview Medical in Berlin and the staff and volunteers of Vermont Respite House in Williston for their unparalleled care and compassion. Friends may call at the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski, Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Lani's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cambridge, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please support the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05492, in tribute to Lani's memory. Lani we are all "Amazed by You" and you will be missed dearly.
