Was driving through the village this past week and noticed that we have at least two houses all lit up for Christmas here in the village.  Kind of gives one a knudge to get into the Christmas Spirit.  As for me, I will be knudging my youngest grandson "Sammy" to put up my tree and Christmas Manger.  That is about all I do and then when the family comes up for Christmas, before they head back home they take down the decorations for me.  Have lots of decorations I no longer use.

Meanwhile Thanksgiving is not here yet, so this coming Sunday night St. Luke's will be hosting the Fairfax Thanksgiving Interfaith Service, starting at 7 p.m.  Although not a necessity, people who attend are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help the needy.  This coming Wednesday, my family will start coming for the Thanksgiving Holiday, then on Friday they will be headed home.  The three girls all work it out to prepare and serve the meal and everybody contributes.  I am truly so proud of all of them and it makes me realize how much I have to be truly grateful for.
