Doris E. (Pecor) LaFleur

Fletcher--Doris Ethel (Pecor) LaFleur, 97 passed away on Sunday April 15, 2007 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT.  She was born on February 27, 1910 in Waterbury, VT daughter of the late George and Ida (Lovely) Pecor.  Doris was a member of Binghamville United Methodist Church serving as past president and trustee of the board.  She was the president and trustee of both Fletcher Cemetery Assoc and Fletcher Union Meeting House Assoc.  She also had been a trustee of the Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens and member of Cambridge Senior Citizens group.  She was a former member of Fletcher Grange 473.  She served Franklin County as trustee of 4-H foundation, food shelf and home health agency.  She served the Town of Fletcher as a service and health officer, was a member of the Board of Civil Authority and Justice of Peace for 35 years.  She was a notary, former overseer of the poor, a Fletcher delegate and member of executive board for Fairfax Rescue Squad.  She is survived by her daughter in law Doris LaFleur of Arvada, CO, her grandson Don LaFleur of Fletcher, her two Granddaughters and their children: Pamela Dextraze and companion Mike of Shelburne and Linda Carrassi and husband Joe of Essex Jct.;  Her Great Grandsons Donny LaFleur and Timothy LaFleur and friend Lina;  Two nieces, several grand nieces and grand nephews and her good friend Meredith Gillilan.

She was also predeceased by her husband Herbert Henry LaFleur on September 25, 1988 and her son Richard LaFleur in 2003

Visiting hours will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 20, 2007 at A. W. Rich Funeral home – Fairfax Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 21, 2007 at Binghamville United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Peggy Tooker officiating.  Burial will follow in the family lot in Binghamville Cemetery in Fletcher.  Memorial contributions in Doris’ memory may be made to the Fletcher Cemetery Association c/o Dennis Getty 629 Fairfax Rd. Cambridge, VT 05444 or to Fairfax Rescue Squad P.O. Box 228 Fairfax, VT 05454.  Those who wish may forward their online condolences by visiting www.awrichfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are by John D.
