ST. ALBANS, Vt. —The Red Cross is reporting a fire caused by a possible explosion at Liberty Propane in St. Albans.

An employee of a nearby business says they were told by officials to evacuate until firefighters deem it safe.

The fire is on Lower Newton Street. The Red Cross is coordinating with local officials to see how they can assist in the situation.

Plans are being put into place to provide food and hydration for first responders.
