Investigation Continues in 2005 Homicide in Sheldon

Sheldon, VT -  On July, 7, 2005 shortly after 12:00PM Kenneth Jerome, age 33 at the time of the incident, was discovered deceased behind a barn located at 4692 East Sheldon Road, approximately a mile west of Duffy Hill Road, in the town of Sheldon.  Jerome worked at the Magnan Farm, at this location, and was in the process of feeding calves when he died. Investigation showed that Jerome was the victim of a homicide. While engaged in his work, Jerome was shot and killed.

The Vermont State Police continue to actively investigate the murder of Kenneth Jerome. To date, the state police continue to receive and investigate leads in this case. And investigators continue to explore all investigative strategies in an attempt to uncover information and numerous leads have been investigated over the years.

The Vermont State Police cannot overemphasize the importance of anyone coming forward with information and is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the resolution of this case and/or information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible. The state police offer rewards on specific major cases with an emphasis on unsolved homicides and missing persons where foul play is suspected.
