I have a 4400 Watt pull start Homelite Generator for sale.  I had it set up on a transfer switch which I was told I had to buy so I would not electrocute linemen working on the lines.  It has an 8 gallon gas tank and uses about 1 gallon an hour.  I keep stabilizer in the gas & start it once a month.  I turn the gas off to stop it and turn the gas on when I start it so there is no gasoline left in the carbuerator.  It easily runs my furnace, refrigerator & sump pump.  I have used it to run my 220 volt water pump, but used to shut everything else off when I did.  Not something you use a lot thank God, but pretty handy when you need it.  Last Christmas when the power went out, it had been several years since we had been without power.
