Hi all,

While stuffing the turkey and looking out the kitchen window Christmas Day, a flock of 16 or 17 turkeys came strolling down behind our house picking away at the corn stalks in the corn field.  There appeared to be one enormous Old Gobbler in the middle of the group.  I did not get a chance to take a picture, but apparently they kept on walking towards Fairfax Village.

Steve Ratte sent me the following pictures of what I believe was the same flock, although he counted only about 15 in the group:

These turkeys were in his back yard only about 15-20 feet from the house on December 28th:

They hung around about an hour ending up in his Christmas Tree Grove.

I am told that Wild Turkeys only fly short distances.  Earlier this summer I took a picture of two hen turkeys with some little baby turkeys in my back yard and am wondering if this might be the same group - minus a few
