3 55gallon barrels of oil dumped off on River Road

Hazmat is checking out 3 barrels of what appears to be dumped off on River Road.  It is believed to be waste oil..  Once I hear more I will put it up.  Saw this on WCAX News this morning

Three 55 gallon barrels containing oil were dumped off River Road in Fairfax. A Vermont hazmat team responded to the call at about 8PM Sunday night. The barrels were not leaking. At the scene, crews said they needed to test to determine what kind of oil it is but believe it is waste oil. Crews will remove the bins this morning.

These barrels could have been dropped off at the town garage for free, where they would have been used to help heat the building.  Instead they were dropped off on the side of the road.  Hazemat was called because we had no way of knowing for sure what was in them.  Now the state will pay to have a contractor remove and properly dispose of them.  This lazy, foolish act will cost the taxpayers money when it could have saved money.

The obvoius stupidity of the perpetrators aside, does anyone else see the humor in this:

And then the photo below shows a barrel with the words: "waste oil" spray painted on it.

Just because it's on a barrel doesn't mean that's what's in it. Could have been anything. Might have been oil, anti freeze and other waste liquids. I see the humor though. It was nice of them to try and help.

I get that. It's just face value dumb-old-movie-3-stooges-like-funny, that made me laugh when I saw it.
