Belvidere: Joycelyn G. Adams, 86, a lifelong resident, who will be remembered for her warm and welcoming hospitality, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Vermont Respite House surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Born in Belvidere April 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Hersa Eldred. She married Kenneth R. Adams, Sr. on October 4, 1947. He predeceased her on March 14, 1984.

Joycelyn was a member of the Belvidere United Church of Christ, was a longtime member of the Belvidere School Board and was a hot-lunch cook at the Belvidere Central School for 10 years. She was also a member of the Belvidere Community Club, enjoyed spending quality time with her family, reading, traveling, and gardening.

She leaves her 5 children; Cheryl Yandow & husband, Marcel, Sr., of Fairfax, Kenneth R. Adams, Jr. & wife, Cathy, Charlene Spaulding, Rhonda Osgood & husband, Steve, all of Belvidere & Jerilyn Buttolph & husband, David, of Lititz, PA.; her grandchildren, Marcel Yandow, Jr & wife, Lori, Lisa Demar & husband, Don, David Yandow & wife, Kelly, Mark Adams & wife, Grace, Jess Adams & wife, Sarah Finlay, Jeremy Adams, Chad Allen, Cybil Allen, Erica Arguello & husband, Mo, Richard Spaulding, Jr. & wife, Kristy, Stephanie Spaulding & husband, Henry Kwan, Jennifer Osgood & husband, Shawn Danaher, Claire Osgood, Erin Rittler & husband, Zach, Rebecca Rutt & husband, Ben, Sarah Kanagy & husband, Jacob, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Brown, Emmett Eldred & wife, Leona, and Greeta Talamo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Earl Domina, Sr., Lloyd Tatro & wife, Pat, Rollie Tatro & wife, Rosalyn, William Tatro & wife, Irene, Pauline Martin & husband, Ken, Mary Ellen Trask & husband, Francis, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her late husband, Kenneth, and her parents, Joycelyn is predeceased by her siblings, Leoda Barry, Maurice Eldred, Jr., Kermet Eldred, Sr., & Ethelyn Domina, and her in-laws, Ray Barry, Jr., Lydia Eldred, Beverly Eldred, Larry Brown, Sr., Henry Talamo, and
Raymond, Merrill & Paul Tatro.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 10, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the United Christian Society (The Junction Church), 6653 VT RT 109, Belvidere, VT with Rev. John Nutting officiating. Interment will follow in Belvidere Center Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 9, 2015, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans, VT.
