Donna (Goodrich) Gaudette, 74, passed away on November 13, 2019 due to an unfortunate accident at her new home on October 19, 2019. Donna fought hard with her family at her side. Donna showed her strength and determination to her family before leaving their sides and joining her late husband Mr. Roy Gaudette Sr and son Ronald Allen Gaudette. Donna was born July 21, 1945 in Burlington, daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Barns) Goodrich.

Donna also left behind dear friends, old and new. She had a way of visiting with people and made friends easily. People loved hearing her stories, especially how she provided vivid excitement through them. Donna also loved and lived her life for her family. She loved having everyone around to reminisce through both her stories and pictures.

Donna had a passion for plants, both indoor and outdoor. Her family always spoke of her amazing Green Thumb. She loved giving out gardening advice along with splices of her plants to start new ones from.

Donna had a great love for crafting of all kinds, including sewing blankets, pillows and other items, blessing her family with her gifts. She made several blankets for family throughout the years, her latest being for the newest great-granddaughter. Donna also proudly taught her kids how to make Christmas wreaths for themselves during the Holidays. Donna loved to teach her children crafts and baking and also taught Sunday School at her church while her children were growing up.

Donna also loved going for long rides with no destination in mind. She loved finding new roads and feeling the excitement of seeing where they took her.

Donna had a true love and passion for life. Her love for her family was filled with pride, and what she called her greatest accomplishment. She would beam with pride as she spoke of them. Family was her whole world, as she was theirs too.

Donna was loved by many and leaves behind her children: Sandra Gaudette and John Lynn of Florida, Donna Gaudette of St. Albans, Roy Gaudette and his wife Becky of Richford, Roland Gaudette and his wife Laurie of Sheldon and Christina Gaudette of Enosburgh Falls; 12 Grandchildren: Robert Champaine, Stacey Lafar and husband Greg, Brian Champaine, Andrew Gaudette, Corey Rooney, Brandi and Brittany Gaudette, Molly, Collin and Hannah Gaudette and Connor and Zackary Gaudette, 3 Step Grandchildren, their significant others, 17 Great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was also predeceased by her brother Gordon Richards and her sister Corrine Bergeron.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the nurses and team of doctors from the Ellison 4th floor SICU at Mass General Hospital in Boston that took such phenomenal loving care of our beloved mother. We are in deep gratitude.

Visiting Hours will be held Friday November 22, 2019 from 5 - 8pm at the A.W. Rich Funeral Home- Fairfax Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at the United Church of Fairfax with the Reverend Katherine Arthaud officiating on Saturday November 23 at 11:00am. Private burial will be next to her beloved husband in the family lot at Sanderson Corners Cemetery in the Spring.
Memorial contributions in Donna's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society of Vermont 55 Day Lane Williston, Vermont 05495.
