RITA L. COTE BURLINGTON — Rita L. Cote, 73, of Burlington died Sunday, May 8, 2005, surrounded by her loving family in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington after a short illness. She was born in Williston, March 19, 1932, the daughter of the late Philbert and Mabel (Blair) Boutin. Rita was married on May 5, 1956, to John Cote in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Williston. Among her many interests she especially enjoyed music, dancing and most of all being with her family. Rita is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Cote of Burlington; her five sons, David Cote and his wife Nancy of Colchester, Gary Cote and his fiance Penny Bushey of Essex, Denis Cote and his wife AnneMarie of Littleton, N.H., Dean Cote and his wife Lynn of Saco, Maine, and Kevin Cote of Burlington; she also leaves 14 grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Boutin of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Donald and Maurice Boutin; and by a half-sister, Helena Laneuville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 11, at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will follow in New Mount Calvary Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, Vt. 05404; or to the Alzheimer's Association, Green Mountain Chapter, P.O. Box 1139, Montpelier, Vt. 05601. Visiting hours will today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski.
