Back when I first started working in Burlington in the early 1950s, for The Vermont Confectionery Company, a guy by the name of Ernie Handy used to come in and buy loads of candy for his concession stand at the Sunset Drive in at Malletts Bay - Saw this article in the Colchester Sun that identified the Sunset Theater as still in operation after 60 years - It opened in 1948.

Probably not to many people around that haven't been to the Sunset Drive in - Used to have quite a few drive in theaters around.  One used to be up in the area where you go to Costco and I think that one was called The Mountain View Drive in - I think they have all pretty much gone by the wayside now - I understand they no longer have the speakers you used to hang on the window when I used to go and sometimes drive off without remembering to unhook it.
