St. Albans Police are looking for some metal parts thieves.

Police say they interrupted a theft in progress on Aldis Street, but the two suspects got away. Police did recover some 3,000 pounds of metal parts in their truck. Investigators say they'd been stolen from St. Albans Public Works and the New England Railroad.

I'm wondering how they get rid of this stuff - Whoever buys it must have an idea it is not legit.  I know when the Town of Fairfax had their Metal Dumpster at the Town Garage, lots of people used to come and sort through that, although I suspect now anything metal would disappear quickly.
