Back in 1967, or thereabouts, when IBM had one of its spurt growths, they came up with a plan to kind of bypass Essex Junction 5-Corners, but it has been so long, I can't actually remember what the plan really was.  I have searched the Internet and the nearest thing I can find is I289.  If I remember right though, it was going to be of no help to me to get in to work at IBM.  I remember seeing an original Map in the Burlington Free Press way back when.  Well, it sounds like it is on again, but at my age, considering the progress made over the years, doubt I will ever see it, and as far as going to work, think most of the commuters have now created their own routes off I89 exits, except for those of us here in Fairfax headed to the Essex area who still use the famous Route 128.
