We normally don't have anyone, or at least haven't for the last 4 or 5 years.  Last night however we had 7 and since I decided this year not to get as much candy, so I wouldn't have the excuse to eat it, got enough for about 12 kids.  Was beginning to get a little worried, and had decided if anymore came, I would cut back on how much I would give each one.

I didn't venture down to the village last night, as I thought there is no need to put myself in that much confusion and take a chance on some youngster darting in front of me.  Went down last year and parked where I had to back up and was really concerned about that, as there was nobody to make sure things were clear behind me, even though I have back-up beepers on my car in case there is something withing 3 feet of my rear bumper.

Understand from one group that stopped at the house that our Fairfax Firemen were out helping out.

Halloween seems to be much quieter these days than years ago.  Used to hear the firemen being called out on Cabbage Night & Halloween to put out little bonfires all over the place, but the last year or two haven't heard anything like that.

Hopefully everybody had a Happy Halloween!!!!

Mrs. Santee handed out 500 pieces of candy by 8:00pm on Hunt Street.
The few that came after that got potato chip snack packs.

Minor's home was fantastic, thanks.
Bats and ghosts were flying through the air,
bodies crawled out of leaf piles,
butchers sharpened large knives.

And thanks to the Fairfax Fire department who handed out glow sticks for the kids
and stopped traffic to keep kids safe crossing Main Street.

Justin Brown also had some surprises in the covered bridge.
Foothills Bakery was open to trick or treaters
and, again, they had some delicious cookies.

Mr. Santee took Darth Vader around to many generous houses.

Thanks to all !!!

Take Care & God Bless,
