Selectboard Minutes for Monday, November 10, 2008 have been received and are available.  In the joint meeting there was quite a discussion on who has what.  I was quite surprised to hear that some of the Rec Park was part of the school, as to my knowledge, none of it was paid for out of the school budget.  I was under the impression that the fields would be used by Little League and Town Teams for recreation, or Town Group Activities.  There will come a day I suspect when J & L Field or McNall Field will not be available, through the kindnesses of the Meuniers & McNalls.  School property appears to be used only for school activities as evidenced by plays being held in the Westford Brick Church.

These selectboard minutes just came as a big surprise to me and I could certainly be all wet in my interpretation as to what was to occur at the Fairfax Recreation Park.

McNall Field is basically no more. The goal posts have been taken down and there will be corn there next spring, or summer.

The Fairfax Community Theatre Company uses the school for it's summer production, and on occasion, the spring production, which takes place during April vacation. it's best to use the school when there is no one else is using the space.
Westford does give them a place to perform, and the Company is looking to expand further. They will be using the Baptist Building for their production of "Translations", NEXT weekend and then perform at the St. Albans Museum Thanksgiving weekend.
