Bernie Gage Plumbing & Heating Burglarized In St. Albans

So many robberies, however, a plumbing & heating place seems like a strange place for robbers to break into:

The St. Albans Police Department is investigating a burglary that happened at Bernie Gage Plumbing and Heating.

Police say the Stebbins Street business was burglarized after 11:30 p.m. last Friday.  Investigators say the owner reported numerous items missing.

Police are following a number of leads at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Albans Police Department at 802-524-2166.

I would think the theives were after the copper pipe that the company probably had a significant supply of.

 They should check scrap prices first. Right now the scrap prices on all metal items is somewhere down in the basement. If thescrap yards are taking it at all. Scrap stainless steel went from $1.00/lb to $0.10/lb.

Could be some revenge going on, Bernie is the one that employed and allowed John Winn to live at his residence under house arrest.  John Winn is the person accused of killing two people last summer in West Swanton. From what I understand the man he killed was always in trouble with the law, the girl seem to be an Innocent bystander.
I find it exremely suspicious.
