These are the days I enjoy my retirement - Not having to go out, scrape off the car (Maryann used to use the garage and my vehicle was out in the elements) and head off to work.  I just get up, start up the coffee pot, have my orange juice, start up my computer and see what's going on in the outside world.  I really have no schedule, just a routine.  Truly a great life and something for those of you not yet retired to look forward to.

Many people ask Maryann and I if we have ever thought of going where the weather is warmer in the winter.  I prefer my family, friends and familiar faces and places to the sunny South. 

My favorite activity is just going down to the village and striking up a conversation with whoever I should meet - To each his or her own, I guess - I just love Vermont and my hometown.
