CHARLES EDWARD STYGLES CAMBRIDGE — Charles E. Stygles, 16, died unexpectedly Friday, July 15, 2005, as the result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Cambridge. He was born in Burlington, Nov. 21, 1988, the son of Carroll N. Stygles Jr. and Gloria Manning. He was to have been a junior at Lamoille Union High School in the fall. Charlie was a young man who loved the woods and spent as much time as possible enjoying them. He worked in the woods with his father whom he considered to be his best friend. Together they cut wood, enjoyed the surrounding nature and treasured the time together. Charlie enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys with rifle and bow and arrow. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was well-known for the jokes he played on his family and friends. He had boundless energy, many hobbies and was a loyal friend. His large family and many friends were the focus of his life. He is survived by his father, Carroll N. Stygles Jr. of Cambridge; his mother, Gloria “Dodie' Manning and her companion Jos Fecteau of Hardwick; his siblings, Carroll Stygles III, Richard Manning and wife Meredith, Roxanne Blaise and Rocky Blaise Jr.; his grandfather, Carroll Stygles Sr.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his girlfriend, Breanna Machia. Visiting hours are Tuesday, July 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Corbin & Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 20, at 11 a.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery, Jericho.
