LAWRENCE ALBERT CHERRIER


MILTON - Lawrence Albert Cherrier Sr., 74, died on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, in the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born in Fairfax on Feb. 11, 1935, the son of Ina and George Cherrier Sr. On Feb. 5, 1953, Larry married Beverly Ann Turner in the United Church Parsonage in Milton. He was a member of the Arrowhead Senior Citizens and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cribbage and playing cards with his buddies. Larry worked most of his career for the Public Works Department with the Village of Essex. In addition to Beverly, Larry is survived by his children, Larry Cherrier Jr. and his wife Connie of Waterbury, Suzanne Bohen and her husband Todd of Milton, Edward Cherrier of Colchester, Steven Cherrier and his wife Lorraine of Milton, and Michael Cherrier and his wife Sandy of Barre; by his grandchildren, Emily, Edward Jr., Adessa, Jourdan, Matthew, Chentel and Brittney; by his sister Mary Hurst and her husband Howard of Milton; his sister-in-law Betty Holmes of Massachusetts; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George Cherrier Sr. and Ina (Cross) Cherrier McKinney and his brother George Cherrier Jr. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m., in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial's in Larry's name may be made to the American Lung Assoc., 372 Hurricane Lane, Suite 101, Williston, VT 05495. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. Online condolences may be made to www.minorfh.com .
