VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY PARK WORK DAY

SATURDAY AUGUST 20TH & SUNDAY AUGUST 21ST PARK WORK DAY
By the end of this week all the professional power raking and seeding will be completed at the Park Phase II, thanks to Myles diligence, determination, perseverence and great efforts.   We are looking to fill four half day work shifts this Saturday and Sunday for mulching crews to operate a tractor/truck, pulling a bale chopper on a trailer or in truck bed and carrying hay bales to the bale chopper as the entire 5.5 acre field is to be covered with mulched hay.

We have Saturday 9-11am being worked by the football volunteers.
We need to find volunteers for Saturday 11 am - 4 pm (or you could break down into 11am-2pm and 2-5pm - we're flexible)
Sunday 8 am/9 am -12
Sunday 12 - 4pm

Although you can work straight through these shifts, as I'm sure Myles will be, please choose some time you can come down and help.
Volunteer labor is critical for us to secure our grant match, so please please PLEASE volunteer to be down at the Park this weekend.

This is a weather dependent activity so please provide me your phone numbers in order to facilitate my contacting you if our work day needs to be changed.

Thank you,
Carol Lizotte

Regarding our hay mulching effort schedule for this weekend - in addition to volunteers to mulch and rake spread hay, we need someone with a pickup truck to transport the bale chopper from Milton Rental to and from the Park.

The Milton Rental Company has donated the use of a bale chopper for BOTH Saturday 8/20 and Sunday 8/21 for this weekend's athletic field seeding and mulching effort!  This is close to a $200 value and we need to recognize their contribution.  Next time you are considering a rental need or are in there for some other reason, please be sure to say thank you for their support for the Fairfax Park Project (this is not the first year they have donated the use of this bale chopper)!

Is anyone available to do the pickup and/or return of this equipment?   This would require a pickup truck or truck with a trailer to transport between Milton Rental and the Park.  Pickup can occur after 4pm on Friday or between 8-9am on Saturday morning.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience.
Carol
