A Sign Of The Times At WCAX

My wife enjoys watching the Mass each Sunday on TV on Channel 3, however in the last three weeks, the Mass did not air at 6 a.m. on Channel 3.  I sent a note to both the Burlington Diocese and Channel 3 asking what the problem might be as the program is scheduled to air.  I received the following note the first thing this morning:

Hi Henry,
 
At that time of day we are in "automation" mode, meaning there is no person here at the station. Sometimes the system hiccups and when it does our primary channel, which would normally be infomercials and the Catholic Mass, turns to 3.2 so we are not "off the air" for a long period of time. I wish we could come up with a better system but we are suffering from the economic downturn as much as anyone else and it is not feasible for us to have someone here 24 hours a day as we used to.
 
I'm sorry your wife missed the mass and hope that this happens a little less infrequently.
