The above photo was taken in 2003 and I was reminded of it when I received a note from one of Pat Nilsson's former students who was trying to contact her.  Of those that have retired, Pat is the only one who doesn't still live in town, although she told me she will be moving up to Fletcher soon.  By the way, only two are still teaching, Al Daniels & Kevin Hebert - I realize there is probably no need in putting the names up, but the BFA Quarter Century Members seated in the back row are Pat Nilsson, Elaine Delorme and Joy LaBaron, Front Row, Al Daniels, Kevin Hebert and Gary Gilbert.  When I took this picture, Pat Broe, Betty Ide, Larry Leach, Bruce McCrae and Del Sweat were not available.

I thought I would put this little thank you note up from the BFA Student who I helped get in touch with Pat Nilsson - Something that apparently meant a lot to this person took me only a minute to do:

Bless you Henry!  Thank you so much, it's really a very kind thing you've done for me.  You went out of your way and I truly appreciate that.  Words aren't really enough but again, thank you.  You've gotten me back in touch with someone I care very much about, and in this world there are two things that go such a long way toward making us feel fulfilled...the people we love, and the kindness of strangers. Henry            Great picture. It must have been taken around the time of the 100 year celebration of Hiram Bellows' establishment of our BFA back n 1903. There is no small pride on my part for being part of the hiring process that brought four of these six ( Al, Kevin Pat and Joy ) to our school , and to witness the influences they had on the BFA students , including my son. By the way, my predecessor, Mike Nason, was criticized for a number of things, but those staff members that he , and he alone, brought to our faculty from 1968-1971 were a big part of BFA's growth through the years ( Chauncy Eldridge, Gary Gilbert, John Gillis, Elaine Delorme, Carolyn Mitchell, Eleanor Berry, John Young, Ernie Codding and Fern Jones, to name just a few ) and set standards for a rookie Principal to follow when I was hired in 1971
