SERIOUSLY???They busted the kid for a pillow fight? With all of the gloom and doom bad news everywhere, why hassle a bunch of kids just trying to have fun? And making people smile in the process! Good Grief, it seems like we're just hooked on those "bad news" feeds and if someone doesn't want to fall in line with it, well, let's arrest them. It seems like it was organized and well thought out--not drug induced. Idon't know, I think it's funny that they were spritited enough to have a public pillow fight.

I think they should hold one in  each of Vt's "cities."

Unchecked, this could potentially escalate to squirt gun fights.

I was always told by my parents that "horseplay" belonged outside and not in the house.  I guess they forgot to tell me that "horseplay" is illegal and doesn't belong outside either.

Tuesday, authorities had second thoughts and dropped the charges.

"There is no crime. Nobody was injured. It appears that all the participants were willing participants. No damage was done to any of the property, the businesses downtown. No pedestrian traffic was impeded. It lasted about 90 seconds. It was truly a pillow fight," Chittenden County Prosecutor T.J. Donovan said.

Seems TJ is the only one that really thought this one out.  I can't imagine how BPD officers would react to happeings here in metro Nashville. Drive by shootings, sexual assaults, armed robberies are a daily occurance here.  They wouldn't even have time to take a second look at a group of people with pillows.

Well they did break one law - they didn't get a permit.  WOW!

talking about hard-up for action.  i tried calling the BPD to lodge a complaint yesterday about waisting tax payer money and police bullying.  Go figure, there had been so many that the person who usually takes these calls live - had it go to voice mail - all day.

If you watched the news - they still were sticking to their guns - obviously realizing they were being too strict, they cited the potential to scare of visitors to the shops of the downtown.  I was disgusted, the Officer ( not the one who arrested the kid) didn't even present anyother perspective - just strictly how the behavior is somehow detrimental.  There's a word to describe those who can't see others point of views - even if it doesn't sway their own opinion on a subject - know what it is?  Redneck.
