Todd J. Whitney, 37 of Milton died unexpectedly of Cardiac Arrest on Sunday May 31, 2009 at his home in Milton. Todd was born June 28, 1971 in Burlington, the son of Edward and Joyce Pidgeon Whitney. He graduated from Milton High School, Class of 1990. On November 2, 1996 he was married to Carla Meunier in Milton. Todd was a friend to all. No one was a stranger for very long…he could start talking to someone and by the time he said goodbye, another friend was made. Todd loved his family, the Red Sox. He loved following the Nascar Races, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr. He loved listening to all types of music as well as fishing in both the summer and winter. Todd had a love for cooking. He recently spoke about wanting to train as a chef, if he had the time. Todd was a good husband, son, brother and uncle, making sure to check in with his family by phone just to chat and tell them how he loved them. Above all, he loved his beautiful wife, Carla of 13 years and his precious dogs, Trudy and Sarge and his cat, Pepper Ann. He is survived by his wife, Carla of Milton, his parents, Ed and Joyce Whitney of Milton and Ft. Myers FL. His brother, Ed Whitney Jr. and his wife, Penny (Thayer) of Fairfax. His sisters, Tanya Whitney Swenson and her husband, Major Richard Swenson of Bear, Delaware and Kelly Kauffman Hanley and her husband Raymond of New Port Richey, FL., as well as the many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Todd. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday evening, June 4, 2009 at 7 pm in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton with Pastor Kim Ransom officiating. Visiting Hours will be held also on Thursday from 4pm until the hour of the service in the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Todd’s memory may be made to the Franklin County SPCA in care of the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadow, St. Albans, VT 05478 Online Condolences may be made at www.minorfh.com
