DODGING STORMS
Posted for Monday July 27th........................

Holy crap, it's the last week of July already.

Man, the sky looked threatening all day, but it seems every single storm went around us for a change.
The wind was refreshing.
Sunday night, I took Rex outside around 10:30pm, and there was lightning to the north and east of us.
I was watching the radar on my iPhone and there was one system that went from the southwest to the northwest and bypassed us. There also seemed to be some systems that travelled along the VT/Canadian border.

I was busy at the museum Sunday. 10 people came. One couple drove in as I was crossing the road, arriving at the place. I finally had a chance to sit down around 3:30. I am not complaining. That is why we are open. It's better to be busy and talking to people than just sitting there for two hours. Last week I sorted a stack of newspapers that I had been saving because there were articles about Fairfax in them. What I need to do is cut out the articles, and put them in scrapbooks. That will save some space, and make the articles more accessible to people. Because people do enjoy going through the scrapbooks we do have.

Thanks go to Steve Bessette, who was installing fire extinquishers and smoke detectors at the museum Sunday, so that we are in compliance with insurance through the town. Hope we never need to use them.

I drove by this afternoon and it looked like you were having a busy day with a full parking lot - Thanks for the work on the fire extinguishers and smoke detectors Steve - I noticed your car there also.
