The Art in Bloom Festival was Saturday. I stopped in and took a few photos.

Fairfax Fire and Fairfax Rescue were on hand.

Trevor Russell and his wife were selling coffee, both hot and iced.

This tent featured tye-dyed t-shirts that you could watch being made.

One of the local bands that played.

Prizes were raffled off.

Burger Barn was open.

Lindsay and Andrea Mucia were selling earings that Lindsay makes.

Thanks for the photos Mike.  I was down there yesterday afternoon, but didn't take any photos as I knew you had to have been down and taken some.  Shelly Potala also has a lot of them she said she would send me to post also.  I didn't realize Trevor was selling coffee, although I should have known.  I did stop by his tent and while I was there Chris Ferguson introduced himself to me.  Haven't seen him since he was a kid, or if I did, didn't recognize him.

Another one of our forum members Jason Elledge and his wife came over and introduced themselves to me.  I also met Joe T who told me he had just finished playing on the stage.  Asked him what he played and he told me "the drums."  Always enjoy having the forum members come up and introduce themselves to me.

I took a slow stroll around, but didn't stay too long as I had just come back from grocery shopping and was a little on the weary side, but everybody appeared to be having a great time.  One of the crafters was doing some pottery work.  It was Brenda Menard.  Hopefully somebody got a photo of her.

My neighbor, Linda Tracy was selling raffle tickets and we discussed our mutual neighborhood "Mole Situation."  Apparently they are visiting the whole neighborhood.

I also spent some time visiting with Matt Gillin (Not sure how he spells his last name).  Had heard of him from the fire department, but never actually met him.  He was alone at the fire truck at the time.  Real nice young man.  He tells me aside from his fire department activities and excavation business he and his wife have a set of twins at home.

There was a lady who was taking pictures there that I spoke with, hoping to get some of her photos also, but she told me she was taking video and some guy by the name of Joe was going to put something together with the video.  Not sure if any of us will ever see it, but if anyone does hear who it is or what they are doing with the video, do let me know.

All in all, looks like a great day was had by all.

Henry:
Nicole and I took a ton of pictures for next year but I do not know how to get pictures off of my camera as of yet. I will work on that and get them to you. Joe and Harry make a video of the festival for me and put them on a cd. They do beautiful work. Let me know if anyone would like to see it. I have last years too. Stay tuned for more update when I get my energy back in a couple of days. It was a fabulous day. Most vedors did very well. I will update on that too. Shelly

Great photos Mike!  Great to finally meet you, Henry.  This site is a great way for me to keep up with what is going on around town.  I work in New Hampshire and most of our family reside in the southern states so its great to constantly stay in touch with what's happening at "home".  Andi and I had fun helping out at the festival.  Looking forward to next year, Shelly!  You managed to dodge the rain again.
