Well, not sure just when the rain started, but when I was awakened by what I considered to be an early morning phone call while I was still sleeping soundly, by a retired friend who apparently gets up very early in the morning and thinks the rest of us retirees do the same, it was pouring cats and dogs.  Too bad they don't come up with a technology that would tell the caller before the phone rings, that this is too early or too late to call unless it is an emergency.

We could turn the ringer off, but don't really dare to because we want to make sure that anybody can call us if necessary.  We have caller ID and call waiting, so that even if we are on the phone with someone else, we can at least check.

Some people don't like call waiting as they say it is like telling someone you are talking to you, "Excuse me, I have someone more important trying to call me."  Our call waiting will ring 4 times then take a message if someone wants to leave one.  If we want to find out who is trying to call, we just hit flash and find out and let them know we are on another call.

Change in routine this morning anyhow -

Henry Raymond
