Fletcher – Wallace R. Minor, 83 died peacefully in the presence of his family on Thursday October 8, 2009 at his home in Fletcher.

Wallace was born December 24, 1925 in Fairfax the son of the late Arthur and Evon (Hoben) Minor.  He married Margaret Thomas on June 3, 1950 in Fairfax and was a dairy farmer in Fletcher until his retirement.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Margaret of Fletcher and their children; Martha Webb and her husband Bruce, Thomas Minor and his wife Beverly and Julie Hall and her husband Francis all of Fletcher. Seven grandchildren; Audra Fast and her husband, Clinton; Adam Minor and his wife Melissa; Sarah and Ian Webb; Amanda, Casey and Douglas Hall. Great grandchildren; Makayla and MaKenna Minor.

Wallace is also survived by four brothers and their spouses; Shirley and Madeline Minor of Westford, Gerald and Marilyn Minor of Fairfax, Lee and Louise Minor of Fairfax and David and Janet Minor of Zephyrhills, FL, and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents; Arthur and Evon. Two sisters; Ilene Drinkwine and Harriett Wells. His brother; Carlton Minor, sister in law, Agnes Minor, two brothers in law, Clifford (Peter) Drinkwine and Aldolph Wells.

A graveside service will be held in the Binghamville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Binghamville United Methodist Church in care of Charles Tinker, 629 Fairfax Road, Cambridge, VT 05444 or a charity of one’s choice.
