Fairfax Tax Rate

Per the Selectboard minutes from the July 25th meeting, the residential tax rate will be $1.4737 and the non residential rate, $ 1.5946.

How does this break down?  What was the school tax rate? The municipal? Are there any voted exemptions in Fairfax?

Looks to me like the tax rate in Fairfax is about a dollar less than last year for both Homestead and  Non-residential.  Is the big factor the re-appraisal? The Grand List must have increased a lot. How  much?

I was at the Town Office today and photocopied the Tax Rates for 2005

The Education Residential Rate for this year is $1.1219
The Non Residential Rate is $1.2428

The Municipal Rate is $0.3518

Total Residential = $1.4737
Total Non Residential = $1.5946

The Grandlist is $3,164,225.14
There are 1543 parcels,  24,309 Acres
The Land Use is $13,518,686

There are not voted exemptions.

The 2004 Grandlist was $1,882,617.
2004 Residential rate $ 2.3168
2004 Non residential rate $2.5329
