This is a watch, not a warning:

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND WATCH FOR THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.

* THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SUSTAINED SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH ALONG THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS ON WEDNESDAY. WINDS WILL INCREASE STEADILY WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH PEAK INTENSITY DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON FOR RUTLAND COUNTY...AND
DURING THE MID TO LATE AFTERNOON FOR POINTS FURTHER NORTH.

* WIND GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES...AND CAN LOFT LOOSE OUTDOOR OJECTS. THE POSSIBILITY EXISTS FOR SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES FOR COMMUNITIES ALONG THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
