THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS EXTENDED THE
WINTER STORM WATCH FOR CENTRAL AND NORTHERN VERMONT...FROM
SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

* THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SNOWFALL IN EXCESS OF 9 INCHES DURING
THE 24 HOUR PERIOD STARTING SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY MONDAY
MORNING.

* THE GREATEST THREAT AREA WILL BE THE NORTHERN HALF OF VERMONT...
ESPECIALLY THE WEST-NORTHWEST FACING SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN
GREEN MOUNTAINS WHERE SNOW AMOUNTS OF 12 TO 18 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.

* NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH WILL CREATE
AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW WILL OCCUR TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING WITH A DUSTING TO LOCALLY 3 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION
POSSIBLE.

* MORE WIDESPREAD AND STEADY SNOW WILL DEVELOP SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
SNOW WILL BECOME LIGHTER AND MORE FOCUSED IN NORTHERN AREAS AND
WESTERN MOUNTAIN SLOPE COMMUNITIES LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
MORNING.
