Marguerite "Peg" Laselle
(June 2, 1914 - February 8, 2010)

St. Albans – Marguerite “Peg” Laselle, 95, a longtime Franklin County resident passed away early Monday, February 8, 2010, at Green Mountain Nursing Home with her family at her side. Born in Fairfax, Vermont on June 2, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Mable (Quebec) Laselle.
Peg was a 1932 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and a graduate of the Burlington Business College. She was formerly employed at the Office of Dr. S.W. Howard, George H. Soule Manufacturing Company, Central Vermont Railway and the Fonda Container Corporation. Peg was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Franklin County Senior Center and was a volunteer at the former Verdelle Village Nursing Home.
Survivors include her nieces, Kathleen Paquette of Jacksonville, Florida; Mary Flanagan of St. Albans Town and Shirley Cota of Essex Junction and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her sister, Adele Flanagan.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St, St. Albans with the Reverend Mr. James Ballard, Deacon at St Luke’s officiating. Prayers of Committal and interment will be later this spring in the family lot in St. Albans Bay Cemetery. Private messages of condolence are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com.
