Vilaseca Accepts FWSU Job

Fairfax, Vermont - March 27, 2006

Former Colchester superintendent Armando Vilaseca has taken a job in northwestern Vermont.

Vilaseca accepted the job of superintendent in the Franklin West Supervisory Union. That means he will be in charge of schools in Fairfax, Fletcher and Georgia.

He had left Colchester after the teacher's strike, apparently unhappy with the direction the board had taken.

Vilaseca was runner up for the superintendent's job in Burlington.
