When you come in to Town Meeting on Saturday, a couple of old time familiar figures (Jim & Lena Meunier) will be checking in the registered voters to give them a card that they can hold up so they can vote from the floor.  This is something we started a few years ago in Fairfax so that only registered voters in the town can vote.

I have heard in some towns they even separate the registered voters from the non registered so that only registered voters can vote, but Fairfax has chosen not to do that.
