Mr. Paul Morris Cross, age 87, died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

Paul was born in St. Albans July 14, 1918 one of 10 children of the late Louis and Rosanna (Bovat) Cross. A lifelong resident, he was a former resident of St. Albans Town and now of Diamond Street. Paul was a dairy farmer and a member of the St. Albans Co-operative Creamery. He retired from General Electric in Burlington in 1983 and has been active with Holy Angels Church all of his life. He was a former member of the Pastoral Council and an usher in the church for many years. He was also a member of the American Campgrounds Coast to Coast and a Maple Square Dancer. Paul traveled to Alaska and 47 States during the course of his life, and remembered the capitals to all states and Canadian provinces in North America.

He married Emily Peno on June 20, 1949 in Fairfax. Besides his wife he is survived by their 7 children and their spouses Peter and Patty Cross of St. Albans; Joseph and Deborah Cross of Chugiak, Alaska; Suzan and Gary Comette of Fletcher; Catherine and Roy St. Pierre of Fairfield; Jeanette and Mark Cadieux of Georgia, John and Helene Cross of Alburg, and Monica and Jim Robert of Wolcott; his sister Anna Cross of Swanton, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 3 great step-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents and by 2 sisters and 6 brothers; Donalda King, Geraldine Lawrence, Adelard, Augustin, Frances, Leonard, Felix and Rudophe Cross.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 6pm - 8pm. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a memorial gift to Franklin County Home Health, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478. Interment will be in the Cross family lot in St. Luke's Cemetery in Fairfax. An online condolence book has been established for his family at the Brady & Levesque website: http://www.bnlfh.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.
