Phyllis M. Brandt

St. Albans - Mrs. Phyllis M. Brandt, age 89, died Saturday, May 1, 2009, in the Northwestern Medical Center, following an extended illness.  She was born in Lebanon, N. H., August 27, 1920 daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite (Bascom) Carter.  She married Richard F. Brandt February 20, 1954. 

She was an assistant school teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Syracuse, N. Y., where she was a communicant of the church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Later she was employed by Sealtest Co., and the Burlington Electric Co., and was a polling assistant.

She is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Richard Brandt of St. Albans, her two daughters Susan Brennan and Laurie and her husband David Marnell all of Fairfax, son Charles and his wife Ruth Brandt of Richmond, Va., 3 grandchildren John Brennan, Morgan Marnell and Evan Marnell, also by her in laws William and Alice Brandt, Marjorie and Donald Gunn all of Florida, Roger and Florence Brandt of Arizona, Irene and Bill Williamson of New York, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Charles and Robert Carter, brothers-in-law Conrad, Frederick and Albert Brandt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 5th at 10:00 A. M. in Holy Angels Church.  Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday.  Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, Vt.  05478.  Online condolences may be made to her family by the funeral home website:  www.bnlfh.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.
