Oscar W. Young Johnson Mr. Oscar W. Young, age 84, died at his home in Johnson, June 6, 2010. He was born in Bakersfield October 6, 1925, son of the late George and May (Hyman) Young. Oscar married Leona Norcross who predeceased him October 9, 1989. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for the Central Vermont Rail Road for many years as a crossing tender until his retirement in 1983. Oscar is survived by his 3 sons, Raymond Hemingway, Jr. of Fairfax, Rodney Hemingway and his wife Jane of Johnson, and Richard Hemingway of Fairfax, a daughter Anita Senecal of Burlington, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, along with his sister Alma Wells of Swanton. Besides his parents and wife Leona, he was predeceased by his two brothers Joseph and Michael Young. A graveside committal service will be held in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans, from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday evening. Memorials may be made to Copley Hospital Foundation, 528 Washington Highway, Morrisville, VT 05661. An online condolence book and photo album has been established for the family at the funeral home website: www.bnlfh.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services
