This Date in Fairfax History
August 31, 1904

The Open Ceremonies were held to open a new school in Fairfax- Bellows Free Academy.
The school was named after Hiram Bellows, who was born in Fairfax, and bequethed money to his hometown to build a school.

At this point, I want to apologize. I should have been better prepared. I am pretty sure there is a program or write-up about the ceremonies at the museum, and I will do some checking so I can post more about it here. Stay tumed.
