Well, I went down for my MRI last night at 7:30 p.m.  I have had one of my foot years ago, then had one of my lower back this past summer and last night it was of my neck and the back of my head.

They push you right up into a half collar with you shoulders against it, place a towel over your forehead so you cannot move your head, put your arms beside you with your hands folded over your chest and give you a button to push in case you need to get out.  Now a person of my size is pretty well squashed in there with the ability to push the button that is in your hand on your chest.  I do have to admit, the thought crossed my mind several times to push it in the 45 minutes I was in there.

I have absolutely no desire to ever have that done again - I have heard that they do have kids do this, but am sure they must have to sedate them quite heavily.  I strongly suspect they would have to do this to me if they ever want me to go in there again.

Strange how you decide you want to cough, develop an itch on your nose and a lot of other things you decide you need to do on the spur of the moment.

My grandson just had an MRI a short while ago and had eaten and drank quite a few liquids before he entered the chamber and he advised me that was not a good idea either.

I am glad you got through it!  It does seem like noses itch etc. when in one of those things.  I had a helmet similiar to Darth Vadar's on when I had one!

Hi Henry, I cannot go in one of those tubes.  I freak out more than normal.  They do have what they call an open one which I can use.  The noise also can drive a person crazy.  Henry, keep your comments to yourself.  Lucky you, I will be at the election in November.  Now can you ask for anytrhing more.
