Saturday Night's Chicken Pie Supper At BFA

I attended the United Church Chicken Pie Supper up at The BFA Elementary Gym this past Saturday night. They did an interesting thing which I really enjoyed and that is when I bought my ticket for the first serving, they let us go in and sit down so there would not be a mad rush at the last minute.

I happened to be lucky and sat with several people I knew. Paul & Pauline Lavallee, Mr. & Mrs Williamson from Jeffersonville, John Workman and another couple who winters in Oregon. Everyone except for John Workman and I were heading out for the winter. The couple that goes to Oregon, go there to fish, whereas the others just go to find warm weather either in Texas or Florida.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people I don't know at these local events, but the food was great and every one was friendly and helpful. And yes, I did have a second biscuit with chicken and gravy.
