Driving down the Fletcher Road you will notice that the local gardens have been picked up, but more noticeably that Joe & Cecile Rainville have converted their garage back to a garage.  All summer long you will see Joe & Cecile enjoying the comfort of their cool garage where they have some comfortable chairs and a table set up, where they spend many hours.

This week, the table & chairs have been put up for the winter and their car, which has sat outside all summer is now housed in the garage for the winter.

Tomorrow, also, October 15th, is the deadline many have set to head back South to the warmer climates for the winter.  The Geese have been flying and honking in the skies also lately.

As for me, my portable air conditioners are in storage and I have put the glass in my storm door.

I have even seen several pick up trucks with trailers and snowmobiles go down by, so suspect they are getting them ready for winter also.

Ready or not, there is a chance for snow flurries in the higher elevations this weekend.

Most things in our garden are frost-killed now, with the exception of carrots.  Havent had time to collect all the dead plants, and get the beds ready for winter.  This weekend I'll take care of that, and also replant some of the garlic cloves I dug up recently.  I was unaware you could plant individual cloves in the fall and propagate new plants.  I like that growing garlic can be a self-sustaining (and cheap) enterprise. :)

YEAH!
Let me explain

Arrival of Winter means January is coming soon.  January this year is very special as it brings with it, the return of many loved ones who have been away for far too long!
