VTRANS Closes Smugglers Notch Road

Route 108 through Smugglers' Notch is now closed and state transportation officials expect it will remain that way at least through the weekend.

Cold weather and possible snow is in the forecast for the higher elevations, which would make the road too treacherous. Commuters are asked to seek alternate routes.

I don't know Tom, the state is pretty hard up you know.

Read your post and I remember taking a management course one time where a series of events was filmed with no sound and we were all asked afterwards what we thought was going on.  We all got it wrong.

When I looked at the photo, I immediately looked to see if there was any snow and how many leaves were on the ground.  Never even noticed the gate.  Sorry about that Tom.
