Going to be a tense Saturday here at my house as my Grandson plays for Bellows Falls:

Division III


No. 4 Oxbow (5-4 overall, 5-2 in D-III) at No. 1 Bellows Falls (6-3 overall, 6-1 in D-III), 1 p.m. Saturday.


No. 3 BFA-Fairfax (6-3, 6-1) at No. 2 Windsor (8-1, 8-1), 1 p.m. Saturday

Going to be a crazy weekend for all BFA sports!! I just want to see the boys beat Windsor it has been a long time coming Henry!

Josh was it Windsor that took them out last year??  I hope BFA Fairfax kicks Windsor's butt!!!

Windsor has been a sore spot for BFA since the team began a number of years ago--I think it's time Windsor gets knocked off their pedestal. If I remember correctly, I think it was Windsor that played us here a few years ago and had very obnoxious players and fans. It was unbecoming behavior for an away game--I can't imagine Fairfax grandparents being as rude as those I came in contact with!

I remember thinking,  "Seriously? I'm wearing my son's jersey and you're actually speaking to me this way on my HOME field?!" I forget the comment, but a player's grandfather said something particularly rude and uncalled for. I'm pretty sure it was Windsor, because they were all full of themselves that year, being undefeated and their attitude was atrocious. They won, but it wasn't a gimme, which I think surprised them a little. We definitely are due to beat them. What a great day that would be. Little ole BFA comes from nowhere in a very short amount of time (as far as building a championship team)  and knocks over the mighty Windsor powerhouse!!! (queue evil laugh!)

You are both correct Windsor was the state camps last year.  They knocked us off 19-17 last year and we lost in OT this year 36-35.  We are due and yes I to would love to see Windsor get knocked off their high pedestal!!  Their fans have a tendency to be vulgar and just not very good sportsman. They are known as a "punching team" because for some reason their players fell the need to to punch their opponents when they tackle them!! It should be a good game a show off between good and evil lets hope we(the good guys) can bring a win home this time!!

So true Josh & Lisa!  Windsor was awful last year for sportsmanship.  I believe they lost a bunch of seniors this year so they should be a bit more humble. We had the same experience with them at Bellows Falls. Springfield was awful in that category last year as well.

My sisters and I were not pleased.  My nephew said when they loss to them (Springfield) in playoffs, "That's alright, we will get them my Senior year".  What a great attitude and last weekend he did as he had promised!  Bellows Falls like BFA Fairfax have a terrific attitude, play hard, and don't play dirty.  This is why I hope they see each other at Castleton!!!!

I'm looking forward to Saturday's game--I just wish I could locate my cowbell! I had it in the same spot for a long time, where I retired it after Josh's last game in 08,  (with the maroon & white ribbons still on it)  and for the life of me, I can't find it now. I must have moved it at some point and can't remember where I put it! I distinctly recall saying I would hold on to it for future games...

I didn't make it to last year's playoff game b/c Josh was playing the same day for Castleton. No conflict of interest this year, so I'm really looking forward to being there and seeing BFA Win this time!

We've never played Bellows Falls, so I would like to see that match-up in a Championship game!

Send Windsor home,  is my mantra this week!
