Dave Vallett's Mother Passes Away

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie F. Vallett of Kenmore, a retired credit union office manager, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 20 Herkimer St. She died unexpectedly Sunday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda. She was 83. Born Marie Ricigliano in Buffalo, she graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. Mrs. Vallett retired as an office manager of Ken-Ton Federal Credit Union. She was an active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church seniors group and a member and former treasurer of Concerned Ecumenical Ministries of the West Side. She enjoyed bowling for more than 40 years and was an avid Scrabble player. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leeman E.; a son, David; and a daughter, Cheryl Slisz.
