Does anyone know if the town sold the power station at the falls to CVPS or did CVPS always own it?  Just wondering because Enosburg has a similar station and it's ran by the town.  Their power is pretty reasonable up there to.  Makes me wonder now that CVPS wants to raise rates by almost 9% yuck.

Josh, I think I remember reading that it's always been owned by a power company of some sort- but never the town directly (if anyone would know, it would be Henry).

When I was working in Swanton I remember thinking that their electricity rates (also town-run) were less than half what what mine were.

I think it's a very interesting proposition! When are you going to run for Select Board?

LOL why does everyone keep asking me that?!!! Trevor you don't know me that well.. I don't have the finesse to be on the selectboard I would piss to many people off man.  I'm to much of a Common Sense no BS kind of person politics aren't a good mix for me.

- Common Sense
- No BS

Two qualities I would love to see in a politician! :)  Don't worry about pissing people off- Some of the best managers I've had weren't afraid to tell it like it is!

Next year you're getting written in! LOL!

and as far as the power station goes, I think we should petition the town to seize it under eminent domain, lol!  Although isn't it also the structure that has the higest value in town?  Does that equate to CVPS being the largest taxpayer?  Is that a taxable structure? Hmm....
