Is anybody in the Democratic Party going to pick up the numerous Shumlin & Gilbert Signs around town or should people just throw them in their Trash tomorrow and thursday??

Henry,

Maybe they want to leave them up for the next election cycle!! Early bird gets the worm, you know!

I actually picked up a Shumlin sign that was at the corner of 128 and 104. I'm surprised Gary still has signs up. Usually he has his people pick up all the signs. I seem to recall one year that Lee Minor was going around the day after the election picking up signs.

Thanks for sharing that Ed! On a seperate note, have you decided whether or not your going to pay your taxes? I told Henry I wasn't going to pay my taxes anymore, and he said he "didn't think that was a good idea". Whadda you think?

well thor if you get enough people on your side it would be a good thing but there are too many people too afraid to try it,maybe gary would help you pay some of your taxes ,he likes raiseing them,as for me we used to have a discount if you paid early well they were loosing about 60 grand a year because of it so that went by the way side so i  makeum  wait as long as possible

Ed, not sure if you saw the post from the other day, but this Lame Duck session is going to consider having the IRS take over our private 401K's and IRA's. They feel the IRS can do a better job of "protecting" our money for us for retirement. How's that grab ya?

There are a number of things to be voted on by the outgoing knuckleheads that scare me. The 401K and IRA issue, the Dream Act, the National ID card, Cap & Tax, elimination of the Right to Work in the 22 states that have it and so on, and so on... We can't get them out of there fast enough!!

I'm putting my money into Chocolate methinks!  :)  ...... that or in a bomb shelter i'll be making to hide out in until after all the s@#$ hits the fan in that lame duck session.

Geez Loctavious, don't divulge where you're going to put your "assets". There are folks around here who will demand that you give up half of your chocolate for the social programs. I just read Carolyn's piece on the fiscal update and they look like they are going to still have a budget deficit of $112 - $120 million by June. So you can bet they will be coming after your chocolate and anything else you cache in your bomb shelter! I know the non-partisan Blue Ribbon Tax Commission had a couple of meetings yesterday and today. Can't wait to hear an update on their meetings. I'm not doing the bomb shelter, I am making plans on moving my business to a more friendly area for small businesses.

Not sure how I am going to attack this problem Ed, but I am seriously thinking about doing my banking some place other than where the Socialists can get access to my money. We'll see. Will keep you posted.
