World Champion Bagger Works At Hannafords In Burlington

A Burlington bagger has won the 2011 Best Grocery Bagger competition in Las Vegas, NV.

Krystal Smith, 24, works at the Hannafords Supermarket in Burlington. She was one of 21 contestants nationwide competing for the title. Fox 44 Local News received word late Monday night Smith won, getting the title and a $10,000 prize.

The competition is based on how well the baggers fill two reusable grocery bags with a combination of jars, cans, boxes, and loaves of bread. It also takes into account speed, skill, and agility.

Geez!!!  Wonder if she ever bagged my groceries??

If she did, I bet your eggs and bread were not at the bottom of the bag.

That is terrific and I am sure the trip to Vegas and the $10,000 made her super happy of her skill!

I just heard on the radio that she is going to be going on the Dave Letterman Show; I think they said today or tomorrow; but don't quote me on that.

You heard right, I heard it last night that she would be on Wednesday night.

I've done some bagging in my day and those reusable bags can be a real pain.
I'd love to see a video of her in action.

She and David Letterman did some bagging on the Letterman Show last night.  She is very fast and also talks very fast.  Wouldn't be at all surprised is she showed up on one of our local TV Stations.
